Place to linger
Year constructed: 2008

The task was to redesign the integration of two autonomous business areas - a real estate gallery and a showroom for high-quality footwear - within an existing commercial building. Their respective spaces are entirely separate, connected only by a common door. This arrangement allows our client to operate both business areas independently and yet together.
Presentation of the hand-made, high-quality shoes requires an environment that shows off these elegant products to their best advantage. For this, a transparent glazing was applied during the room’s shell construction. The effect of the perfectly finished white fixtures, on the other hand, is achieved through their colouring and simplicity. These furnishings serve as a room divider and noise-absorbing ceiling element. The shoes are displayed on sensuously finished oak and suitably lit in ways that can vary depending on the circumstances. The entire ambience results in a cosy sense of space that exudes a certain exclusivity.
