Residence, Principality of Liechtenstein
Personal dream home
Year constructed: 2020
The owner’s wish was to live in a large house without feeling lonely and alone. This personal dream home was built on a panoramic hillside in the Principality of Liechtenstein with a view of the Rhine Valley and the mountains.
The result is a modern, dynamic and extremely inviting interpretation of a classic residential complex that, despite its large dimensions, can be consciously integrated into the typology of the single-family house. The extremely spacious single-family house is a contemporary translation of a «case study house». The lower floors of the villa feature a façade clad in raw, broken pietra di Piasentina from Italy, forming a grounded foundation. The upper floors appear to float elegantly, with further enhancement provided by white limestone. Areas for solitude, living and dreaming interact with one another. The focal point of the living area is the two-storey dining room. The distinctive character of the surroundings is formed by the inviting yard with infinity pool and by the separate pool and guest house, all this coming together to form a skilful ensemble.
