Lakeside Villa, Lake Zurich
Japanese inspired - Swiss made
Year constructed: 2022
A Japanese-inspired yet contemporary residential pavilion is to be built on the shores of the Obersee lake for precisely this location. The unique location with its own bathing jetty and magnificent Alpine panorama is a spectacle fit for the stage. It is not only the location that is unique, but also the house, which together with the garden forms a harmonious whole. Inspired by the Japanese design philosophy, the location, the surroundings and the architecture come together naturally. Architecturally, the villa is defined at first glance by the staggered cubes with overheight living space. The wide overhanging roofs as a further design feature emphasize the character on closer inspection. As do the wooden soffits, which extend seamlessly into the interior and provide additional comfort there. The large skylight brings the evening sun down to the first floor of the two-storey house, which faces east due to its location. Large, light-flooded and flowing rooms combine with small, cozy and secluded rooms to become places of retreat.
