The property is situated in a lightly built-up older section of Erlenbach on a privileged, gentle slope with a view of Lake Zurich, the Albis chain of hills and the mountains. To enhance the view as much as possible, the building was positioned in the upper part of the sloping plot. Towards the east, the building appears grounded and is rather nobly closed off; towards the south and west, the house slopes down towards the lake in the manner of a terrace and cascade. This timeless residence and its architecture represent the highest cultural standards of living: the building is exclusive and representative, embedded into the fabric of the existing structures that surround it in the park-like landscape of Erlenbach. From its perch high above the lake, it is surrounded by a beautiful stand of vegetation - a living culture with spaces that appeal to the senses. The cubic architecture has a centred feel, but its cantilevered terraces give it a special dynamic and a stair-like appearance of gliding downwards. The merging of inside and outside spaces is visibly perceptible in the exterior design and the formation of the cubes. The building appears to be grounded and floating at the same time, respecting the qualities of the site and concisely capturing its zeitgeist.
