MODERN ALPINE CHIC. This rooftop apartment is actually a story added to a landmarked, approx. 150-year old barn at the center of the village. The apartment has a net living space of 95 m2 and comprises a large living-cum-dining room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open kitchen and a storage room. This out-of-the-ordinary apartment follows a clear design concept down to the very last detail; only three natural materials were used, consistently and in a compositional manner: natural stone and wood for the floors and walls, and matte stainless steel, selectively applied. Particular attention was given to the interior qualities: Effective lighting using hidden spots and indirect light, room-high doors, free-standing kitchen islands, visual references on the interior, windows placed specifically for a better view, agreeable spatial proportions and acoustics as well as haptic and warm materials lend the apartment an immediately noticeable, pleasant «King-Size Mountain Suite» splendor.
