AT HOME ON THE CLEARING. The Kittenmühle hamlet is located at the northern boundary of Herrliberg, towards Erlenbach, surrounded by expansive farmland and woods. Two brooks cross the former sawmill hamlet which is slightly sunken and framed by majestic trees. The idyllic, almost cloistered atmosphere offers tempting qualities: nature, water, peace and quiet. In perfect harmony with this environment, 12 luxurious condominiums were planned, featuring high-ceilinged rooms (2,60 m), wide glass facades and plenty of space to live in – space where the fantastic surroundings blend into the private interiors on a level of quality that is truly without match. The three-part complex, together with its magnificent park, forms the sophisticated interior. Timelessly designed facades and cubic shapes dominate the overall concept. The demands placed on the design with respect to prestige are reflected, on the exterior, in the light-colored travertin natural stone used, which forms a bright contrast to the trees in the background. Using the interplay between the bronze-colored window frames and the wide glass facades to best effect, the three buildings are in a constant dialogue with their natural environment.
