TRILOGY. The historic part of the castle and the Guyer architecture from the 1970s characterize what is already there. The medieval, combined with the modern, is now joined by the up-to-date, the guest wing, newly-built and expanded in its entirety, to form an exciting trilogy. The transparency remains where it has been before. Time and again, the view opens up across the buildings and into infinite space. The new guest wing accentuates the horizontal, remaining in its dimensions within what can be humanly experienced. The design with the projecting story and the natural materials used lend the volume a weightless, yet down-to-earth quality. The design of the exteriors and the courtyard adapts itself to the historic part: geometrical and yet playful. The rooms allow an unobstructed view. Depending on the their position, visitors will either see the remodeled courtyard or have a fantastic view of the surrounding scenery, the sparsely wooded forest, the mountains or the lake. These are rooms where dreams are welcome, too.
